Jackson Burke was an American 20th century type designer, who among others notably created the typeface Trade Gothic. The poster utilizes this typeface for the copy, as well as the ‘T’ and ‘G’ from the name to create visual interest in the composition from the type itself.
The poster utilizes a strict grid system, and each corner and junction of the composition are calculated to line up exactly.
